Welcome to the Carbon Benchmarking Project

The Carbon Benchmarking Project works with companies and stakeholders to develop frameworks to measure and compare corporate performance on climate change. Many companies now report climate change data, but it is often difficult to use it to work out who the real leaders are. The Project aims to develop the benchmarking methods, international disclosure standards, and global networks necessary to make climate change performance visible.

This practically-oriented, university-based research project is guided by a advisory board with representatives of Carbon Disclosure Project, Climate Group, defra, FTSE, the GRI Insight Investment, Morley and WWF. It is run by a team of experienced benchmarking practitioners.

We are currently recruiting companies to participate in designing benchmarks for their sectors in 2008. To register an interest in the Carbon Benchmarking Project, please contact us.
